Sometimes what motivates someone to engage in healthy behaviors isn’t necessarily the consequences for themselves, but the consequences for others. In this C+MRC podcast episode, Dr. Vanessa Greenwood discusses with Dr. McKinley his research in the area of health communication and specifically the motivational differences in healthy behaviors as they relate to obesity.
Dr. Christopher McKinley teaches “Introduction to Health Communication,” “E-Health Communication,” “Health and Mass Media,” and “Health Communication Theory” in the School of Communication and Media at Montclair State University. He prepares students to become health communication specialists, health advocates, and health marketing professionals.
