The C+MRC will be joining NAMLE to commemorate the 5th Annual National Media Literacy Week during October 21-25, 2019. Beginning this year U.S. events (traditionally held in the month of November) are more closely aligned with the well-established Media Literacy Week in Canada. If you would like to participate in the planning process (for this year or next) contact C+MRC Director Vanessa E. Greenwood directly.

You can sign up for a free individual membership to the National Association for Media Literacy Education and learn the core principles of media literacy and their applications for teaching practice.

Media literacy is the ability to access, analyze, evaluate, create, and act using all forms of communication.

The mission of Media Literacy Week is to highlight the power of media literacy education and its essential role in education today.
